Robyn Sharp

Rare talent

Robyn’s landscape paintings draw on the inspirational setting in which she lives, at Foxground in the foothills not far from the escarpment. Looking out from her property presents a lushness (at least this side of the drought) that is spectacular and richly textured. She has rare talent in bringing out these beautiful features, and the angles and surfaces of what makes the Australian bush unique. I particularly enjoy her treatment of the skies and the ocean. Robyn’s depictions of people often involve engaging in ambiguities that I find intriguing and attractive and include a body of statuary both inside and in the garden that is a pleasure to view. Robyn is well set up to receive visitors by appointment. I can recommend a visit!
